According to Louisville Metro Police, officers responded around 4:26 p.m. on Saturday to the 4400 block of West Broadway near South 44th Street, between the Chickasaw and Shawnee neighborhoods, following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to UofL Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Kevonte White.
Kevonte White will be remembered for the impact he made on those around him through his kindness, friendship, and presence within the Louisville community.
