MANORVILLE, N.Y. — A domestic dispute in Manorville on Sunday afternoon led to a major police response after a man was reportedly stabbed multiple times during a violent altercation involving family members.

According to information from the scene, emergency services were dispatched at approximately 3:00 p.m. following reports of a domestic disturbance involving a knife and injuries at a residence in Manorville. Responding officers from the Suffolk County Police Department quickly arrived and secured the situation.

Authorities reported that SCPD Sector Car 712 was among the first units on the scene. Officers immediately took one individual into custody without further incident, preventing the situation from escalating further.

Preliminary reports indicate that the victim was the suspect’s father. Investigators say the victim suffered approximately four stab wounds, including injuries to the head and lung area. Emergency medical personnel provided immediate treatment before the victim was transported for additional medical care.

Despite the severity of the injuries, officials later reported that the victim was expected to survive, offering some relief to family members and first responders involved in the incident.

The scene remained active throughout much of the afternoon as detectives and patrol officers conducted an extensive investigation. Police personnel processed evidence, interviewed witnesses, and worked to determine the circumstances that led to the violent encounter.

By approximately 5:00 p.m., Suffolk County Police units had completed their initial response and cleared the scene, returning to regular service operations.
